20.000 Artikel

Hallo Murma174, herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Meilenstein! --Holder (Diskusion) 19:12, 28. Okt. 2024 (CET)[Swaare]

Okt. 2024 (CET)[Swaare]

Hello, perhaps you don't know this, but usually we don't hardblock IPs for indefinite amount of time as they are likely rotating multiple owners meaning innocent people will be blocked. I suggest you decrease indefinite blocks of IPs. Best regards, A09 (Diskusion) 21:47, 20. Feb. 2025 (CET)[Swaare]

@A09: Thanks for your attention! Usually I'm blocking vandals with dynamic IPs for one day:
https://frr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spezial:Logbuch?type=block&user=&page=&wpdate=&tagfilter=&subtype=&wpFormIdentifier=logeventslist
Only when I'm sure, it's a static IP, I'm blocking for a week. So do I with registered users. Repeated vandalism I'm blocking indefinitely. I think, that are the global rules, right? --Murma174 (Diskusion) 22:02, 20. Feb. 2025 (CET)[Swaare]
I partially agree with your scheme, however indefinite blocks (sometimes to our big sadness) shouldn't be carried out on IPs. Internet providers still circulate IPs around their customers meaning some IPs have already changed their owner multiple times, which in turn prevents innocent people from editing the wikiproject. There are other tools to fight long term vandalism (like IP range blocks or just extended block durations, for example) so you will still prevent vandalism on your project but won't loose potential editors. Perhaps lift the old indefinite IP blocks? Thanks for your response and best regards, A09 (Diskusion) 10:33, 21. Feb. 2025 (CET)[Swaare]
@A09: O.K. Klaar Thanks for your feedback! --Murma174 (Diskusion) 11:39, 21. Feb. 2025 (CET)[Swaare]
